Abstract
The secondary arm spacing of DD3 Ni-base single crystal superalloy is studied under different melt superheated temperatures, and the deviation angle of the crystal orientation is determined by rotating orientation XRD (RO-XRD) method. It is shown that the deviation angle of the crystal orientation and total content of solutes in interdendritic area are little affected by the melt superheating treatment. The secondary dendrite arm is refined when the superheating temperature is increased from initial solidification temperature 1500°C to 1640°C, and 1780°C.
