Abstract

The method of statistics factorial experiment was applied on the experiment. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to characterize the phases in coatings. Proper technologic parameters were found by evaluating the effect of technologic parameters of laser rapid forming on phases of bioceramic coatings. The results showed that CaO and CaTiO3 were obtained with high laser power, while Ca3(PO4)2(TCP) was obtained with low laser power. Laser power can not only affect the quantity of the phases in the coatings, but also their kinds. TCP was also obtained at high scanning velocity, while CaO and CaTiO3 were obtained at low scanning velocity. The scanning velocity can only affect the quantity of the phases in the coatings. When the laser power was 800 W and the scanning velocity was 500 mm/min, bioceramic coatings with more TCP can be obtained.
