Abstract
The elevated temperature flow stress of TP-650 composite has been investigated of different strain rates. The experimental result indicates that the flow stress of the composite has a lower sensitivity to strain rate at 650°C,and increases with increasing of the strain rate, though the increment is little. It's main reasons that with the intensification of the atom thermal motion, moveable dislocations can overpass the obstacles under the common effect of stress and thermal activation when it meets the obstacles. During deformation, there are strain hardening, and at the same time a recovery softening in the process of which the annihilation and re-collocation of dislocation transgression become more stable. The peinforcement effect of TiC particulate decreases the sensitivity of the flow stress to strain rate.
