Abstract
An improved MUSIC method for non-circular sources in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array signal model is proposed to estimate the directions of arrival. The proposed method exploits the characteristics of non-circular sources to construct a conjugate symmetric Toeplitz matrix from received data vectors so as to form a pseudo covariance matrix, then the source directions of arrival are estimated by techniques similar to the MUSIC method. Simulation results show that the proposed method can resolve multi-targets by using only one or a few snapshots in the MIMO array. And its performance is better than the traditional MIMO MUSIC method.
