Distributed Secondary Voltage Control for AC Microgrids with Prescribed Performance

Abstract

In this study, a novel distributed secondary controller for AC microgrids (MGs) has been developed. Compared to the conventional secondary voltage controls that mainly focus on steady-state, this work not only achieves precise steady-state regulation but also enhances transient dynamic performance by using prescribed performance control (PPC); besides, its applicability does not rely on any explicit knowledge of system topology or physical parameters. The design process of the controller is detailed. A large-signal stability analysis is conducted to prove the stability of the system under the developed controller framework. The effectiveness of the proposed work is further validated through case studies.
