Abstract

An investigation of disperse structures of undercooled Co-40 wt% droplets processed in drop tube was presented. Preparation of the alloy samples of Co-40 wt% Cu alloy was done by alloying highly pure Co (99.998%) and Cu (99.999%) in an arc melting furnance. The results observed that the bulk sampled processed by DTA showed macrosegregation morphologies and because of microgravity effect in the drop tube processing, no gravity-induced segregation occurred.
