Abstract
To solve tool identification problem in inventory management and production process tracking management, a new method combined laser marking and two-dimensional barcode on tool s marking and identification was introduced. Influences of scratches and long reserve time on identification reliability were discussed; Then, the influences of barcode depth, barcode roughness and the area of heat on surface quality were studied. Influences on fatigue life and dynamic balance from metallographic structure image, fatigue experiments and dynamic balance experiments were also analyzed. Finally, the integration of barcode identification equipment and tool management system through program was realized. It was showed that the method had a high identification rate and reliability with no influence on tool's surface quality, fatigue life and dynamic balance, which could be used on tool's stock management and production process tracking.
