Abstract

In order to build extended logic manufacturing cell (ELMC) supporting rapid extended manufacturing (REM), the technology for ELMC based on similarity theory and clustering analysis was proposed. The question of ELMC was expounded, and computation of process similarity factor was introduced. The construction algorithm of ELMC was detailed discussed. Firstly, similarity matrix of processing task was constructed according to similarity theory. Then, on basis of similarity matrix and resource constraints, processing tasks were divided into groups. Finally, equipments was allotted to relevant ELMC in accordance with priority of processing task and capacity of resources.
