Abstract

This paper presents the design of a wideband antenna that is built in the platform to achieve totally conformal property. Particular shape slots are cut on the surface of the platform and matching structures are used in the platform. Simulated results show that the proposed wave antennas can cover the bandwidth of 2.0-6.0 GHz with VSWR <2.0. The good end-fire radiation beams are obtained over the endfire frequency band and the realized gain in the endfire direction is higher than 6.0dB over the whole frequency. This antenna will be fabricated with metal and plastic 3D Printing techniques.
