Abstract

A new structure to radiate circularly polarized electromagnetic waves based on a circular waveguide antenna is proposed. A combination of a circular waveguide with long radius for exciting TE01 mode and one with short radius for TM01 mode is used to create circularly polarized waves with very low axial ratio formed by the orthogonal electric field and 90 degree phase offset between the mode TE01 and TM01.
