Abstract

To improve efficiency of mechanical simulation process execution, the theory of design structure matrix (DSM) was introduced into the problem of creating mechanical simulation process. Depending on the characteristic of mechanical simulation process, 5 types of based logistic cell was concluded. And each has a denotation by a based cell of DSM. The relationship of information among mechanical simulation activities was analyzed by DSM. Then the original DSM was partitioned. According to analyzing the DSM partitioned, a mechanical simulation process showed by flow chart was created based on based cells of DSM. As the same time, the concept of process information waiting time was proposed. It was used of the metewand for evaluating of the DSM partitioned. Finally, the method was verified by an engineering simulation example. And the optimization model was made some simplified.
