Abstract

Five benzotriazole derivatives were synthesized via microwave irradiation, and their corrosion inhibition efficiency for N80 steel in 5% HC1 solution at 50°C were tested by weight loss and electrochemical methods. The corrosion inhibition action of morpholinmethylbenzotriazole was discussed. Results showed that the five synthesized derivatives showed good corrosion inhibition efficiency on N80 steel in the experimental environment, and belong to absorb type corrosion inhibitors. Morpholinmethylbenzotriazole was a mixed controlling inhibitor, and it belongs to geometry blanketing effect and accords with Langmuir absorption isotherm.
