Abstract

Satyam and Kirshnan proposed an unsuitable methodology of modeling the isochronal crystallization kinetics, assuming that there is a log-linear relationship between heating rate and the effective activation energy due to the increase in free energy under isochronal condition. In the present communication we have tested the above methodology, and provided a reasonable interpretation for the corresponding isochronal crystallization kinetics, in terms of a recently proposed analytical phase transformation model.
