Abstract

Taking 3D needled carbon-carbon porous material as reaction matrix, C/C-TaC polybasic composite was synthesized by means of liquid-phase precursor. The phase composition and the microstructure of C/C-TaC polybasic composite were analyzed by XRD and SEM. The results show that the preparation process of C/C-TaC is simplified well as by using liquid-phase precursor and carbon matrix as carbon source; after treated at 900°C., solid products of the liquid-phase precursor are tranferred into Ta2O5 nanoparticles, which is in favor of synthesis reaction of TaC; the increase of reaction temperature is favorable for reducing the effect of the in-process products, and stoichiometric ratio TaC with high crystallization can be obtained at 2000°C.
