Abstract

Omega-type and related particle (S-type) metamaterials are here studied numerically (full wave modelling and retrieval techniques) and experimentally (phase and refraction angle measurement) with the prospect of beam steering. Electronically controlled devices are also addressed via the integration of varactors (Schottky and Heterostructure Barrier Varactors).
