Abstract

The problems of controlling the flying boom are studied. Based on the analysis of the boom mathematical model, it's indicated that the system must be decoupled in order to be better controlled. As a result of the model possess zeros located on the right half side of the S domain, the non-cancellation decoupling design method are proposed to realizing the control of the boom air-refueling. Simulation results of a two inputs and two outputs coupled object are also given. The simulation results obtained by Matlab/Simulink show that the coupling effect of the boom air-refueling system is commendably eliminated by noncancellation decoupling method and it'll meet the needs of controlling the flying boom.
