Abstract
Frequency characteristics and PID control, performing well for steady-state process, are widely adopted in the real-time control of photo-electronic tracking system, however they do not adapt to various variation of environment and sharply changing of target status. This paper presented a fuzzy PID control method, which shortened the transient time, reduced the overshoot and enhanced the tracking accuracy. Matlab simulation and experiment were carried out to verify the effectivity of the method. The result shows that it helps to advance the ability to track the high-speed target, improve the tracking accuracy and robustness of control system.
