Abstract
The comparison study and analysis on the ingot compositions of Ti-2.5Cu, Ti-3Fe, Ti-3Cr, Ti-13Cu-lAl, and Ti-6Al-1.7Fe alloys were carried out and the segregation mode of typical β titanium alloying elements was proposed. The composition among Ti-2.5Cu, Ti-3Fe, Ti-3Cr reveals that the segregation of Cu and Fe is obvious and that of Cr is less. The composition study between Ti-2.5Cu and Ti-13Cu-1Al reveals that the segregation of alloying elemental Cu is obvious in the two alloys. The higher the Cu content is, the greater of its segregation. The segregation behavior of Cu on these two alloy's grain boundary is quite different, that is, elemental Cu is rich in the grain boundary of Ti-13Cu-1Al alloy and it is poor in the grain boundary of Ti-2.5Cu alloy. The research on the compositions of Ti-3Fe and Ti-6Al-1.7Fe alloys shows that the segregation of elemental Fe is obvious in these two alloys. The higher the Fe content is, the greater of its segregation. Elemental Fe is poor on their grain boundaries.
