Abstract

A detection ranger model for staring infrared detector is proposed in this paper, which is used in near space craft application. According to the application environment, the background and target radiation are model is established, for which is considering the far distance and high speed both. The problem of infrared imaging wave bands selection is discussed in simulation. The calculate results shows that, the mid-wave band is more effective for high temperature objects. Adversely, the long-wave band is the best choice for low temperature ones. In addition, the pixel dispersion and aerodynamic heating factors have great effects on detection range estimate for near space environment application. This model in this paper can be used as a reference for near space photoelectric detector system performance analysis and evaluation.
