Abstract

This paper describes a particular fault of sensor erroneous indication while monitoring mechanism position. Thus, we introduce the reliability analysis method regarding parameters in a certain mechanism as random variables. Sections 1 through 3 of the full paper explain our reliability analysis mentioned in the title, which we believe is effective. The core of section 3 consists of: 1) the reliability model of sensor applied to monitoring mechanism position is established and then the specific calculation method is given; 2) eqs. (6) and (7) are worth noticing. Citing the lock mechanism in an airplane as an example, we calculate the possibility of sensor erroneous indication when the mechanism is not in proper position. The calculated results, presented in Tables 2 and 3, and their analysis indicate that our reliability analysis can provide helpful reference in the reliability design of sensor.
