An analysis model of system design requirements for RBCC propulsion

Abstract

Under the demand of rapidly developed RBCC-powered vehicle, analysis model for RBCC propulsion system design requirements was investigated. Two Design Structure Matrix (DSM) were proposed separately for vehicle system design and propulsion system design. The applicability of both DSM was analyzed with its instruction for RBCC propulsion system design. Three requirements assessment models were established for engine thrust, propellant mass and coolant capacity, forming the analysis model of system design requirements for RBCC propulsion system, with its application on air-launched RBCC-powered cruise vehicle.
