Aerodynamic optimization of multi-airfoil based on MADS method and chimera technology

Abstract

In this paper, typical multi-element airfoil is optimized by aerodynamic optimization system based on MADS method and chimera technology, some design variables such as gap, and overlap are optimized to get excellent aerodynamic characteristic. The results show that the aerodynamic optimization system has high optimization efficient and computational precision.
