Abstract
Recent researches of ionic liquid and its application in green catalysis and clean synthesis were reviewed, including homogeneous catalysis in ionic liquid, immobilization of ionic liquid, two-phase process of ionic liquid-supercritical CO2 or ionic liquid-H2O systems, integration of ionic liquid with other technologies and industrialization of ionic liquid application. Research trends of ionic liquid application in green catalysis were discussed, namely synthesis of ionic liquid with specific function, lower cost and environmental friendly, biocatalysis in ionic liquid, immobilization of ionic liquid, developing of process involving ionic liquid and relevant reactor.
