Abstract

The development and their respective advantages and drawbacks of some pivotal technology in the laminar design are discussed in this paper under the background of the development of laminar drag reduction technique on green aircrafts at present and the relevant research of the laminar aerodynamic design in house. Special attentions are paid on the numerical simulation of the boundary layer transition for laminar aerodynamic design, the robust optimization strategy of nature laminar flow (NLF) design. Besides, detailed problems and solutions of representative models in laminar aerodynamic design are presented with the example of an engineering application. At last, a perspective is given on the development of laminar design with numerical optimization.
