A research on deformation mechanism of forward tube spinning

Abstract

In this paper, by establishing the mechanical model for forward tube spinning, the elasto-plastic FEM program 3D-FSPIN was developed to simulate the process of tube spinning. The stress and strain distributions are obtained. The deformation mechanism of forward tube spinning was analyzed. The simulated results and experiments give a good agreement.
