Abstract

Based on the nonlinear inductance model and electromagnetic field finite-element analysis (FEA) of Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG), a novel method for modeling and simulation of the SRG system was proposed in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. In this model, to analyze both dynamic and static state of the system's outputs realistically, the power inverter, excitation source and loads were modeled based on SIMULINK/SimPowerSystems(PSB). On the basis of this nonlinear model, three typical control strategies are simulated and analyzed, and then a high performance controller with two closed-loops was designed based on PI and Current Chopping (CC) control strategies. Simulation results really report the work status of SRG system and validate the applicability of the model and the controller.
