Abstract

Based on assembly order, a new method for generating work breakdown structure was proposed on aircraft assembly scheduling, which can effectively improve tine control ability of assembly workshop. In the method, firstly, a three-layer unit partition model of assembly operation was established referring to the existing unit partition in assembly workshop, which refined foundation for assembly field control. Secondly, through information mapping rules between WBS and AO, assembly process information had been conveniently utilized in building assembly scheduling. Finally the WBS generating method for outline tasks and node tasks were found by assembly operation model and information mapping rules. In addition, the implementai technique and the application of the aircraft assembly field were introduced, and the result demonstrated the functionality of the method.
