Abstract

End-user testing for Web Service is one of the most important techniques used to ensure the quality of Web Service based software. The paper proposes: (1) test model for Web Service usage in context; (2) test coverage criteria. In the full paper, we explain our method in some detail; in this abstract, we just add some pertinent remarks to naming the first two sections of the full paper. Section 1 is: our test model and our test coverage criteria. Its two subsections are: our test model for Web Service (subsection1.1) and our test coverage criteria (subsection1.2). In subsection 1.1, we give Definitions 1, 2, and 3 concerning our test model WSTM (Web Service Testing Model). In subsection 1.2, we give the definition for each of eight different coverage criteria. Section 2 is: designing the Web Service coverage analyzer. Fig. 2 in this section gives the major functions of the coverage analyzer. Finally we present an application example. The analysis of the application example shows preliminarily that our method is effective.
