Abstract
This paper investigates the influence of key factors such as the isentropic efficiency of the compressor, system superheat, and subcooling on the performance of high-temperature heat pump systems. An ASPEN HYSYS simulation model, suitable for heat pump cycles, is developed, and dynamic and static simulations are conducted to analyze the performance of the system. The results show that the dynamic simulation stabilizes at 200 s, with the stability value aligning closely with that of the static simulation. The coefficient of performance (COP) of the system increases with the superheat, supercooling, and isentropic efficiency of the compressor. Specifically, the COP increases by approximately 0. 05 for every 1 ℃ increase in supercooling degree and by approximately 0. 01 for every 1 ℃ increase in superheat degree. The maximum COP of the system reaches 3. 31 when the adiabatic efficiency is 90% and the superheat and supercooling degrees are set at 8 ℃. Reducing superheat and increasing the adiabatic efficiency of the compressor effectively lowers the exhaust temperature. For example, with a 90% adiabatic efficiency, the minimum exhaust temperature of the compressor is 108. 8 ℃ when the superheat is 5 ℃. Compared with the superheat and supercooling degrees, the influence of the isentropic efficiency of the compressor is more evident. Therefore, the performance of the heat pump can be effectively enhanced by appropriately increasing the supercooling degree, improving the isentropic efficiency of the compressor, and reasonably reducing the superheat.
