Abstract
On the basis of axial-feed incremental warm rolling process, based on the integration of process and equipment, the forming equipment for high-performance spline shafts was studied and designed. The subsystems composition and function realization scheme of forming equipment were introduced. The performance of AC-servo axial-feed incremental warm rolling equipment was studied by 42CrMo spline shaft rolling test. The results show that the rolling time of single spline shaft is about 120 s, and the efficiency is significantly improved compared with the traditional cutting-heat treatment process. Through the rolling process of the motor speed test, the root mean square error of speed is less than 5%, which indicates that the driving system has excellent speed accuracy and stability. The spline shaft was measured and analyzed, the size of tooth shape of the tested spline shaft is within the tolerance range and meets the requirements of assembly. In addition, the measurement results of cross section microstructure and hardness show that the streamlined structure is formed in the tooth region, and the tooth surface is significantly hardened, which indicates that the spline shafts formed by self-developed equipment has excellent performance.
