Abstract
The aerospace vehicle, as a novel innovative aircraft, facilitates travel between the ground airport and the orbital space. Employing combined engines for broad high-performance capabilities, its multimode characteristics, mode transitions, and integrated configuration present control challenges. The specialties of aerospace vehicle control arising from combined engine are reviewed, including model establishment, dynamic characteristics, and key control problems. The mainstream combined engine scheme and flight-propulsion integration are introduced. The mode transition techniques and their division are summarized, and a coupled switching control model for aerospace vehicles with combined engine is presented. Arising from the aerodynamic/propulsive and control coupling, dynamic changes from mode transitions, uncertainties and control constraints, control difficulties are highlighted. The key control problems and research status are summarized, while the future development direction is foreseen.
