Abstract

As a critical medium for space exploration, development and application, space vehicles have been widely utilized in scientific research, technology verification, and space application. The reachable domain refers to the spatial range within which a space vehicle can operate under various constraints. The study of the reachable domain is of great significance for accurately calculating the reentry area of space vehicles, evaluating the maneuverability of space vehicles in orbit, analyzing the evasion and threat of space vehicles, estimating interception zones for interceptors, and designing the orbit of space vehicles etc. The definition and concept of the reachable domain, the main research ideas and theoretical methods. As well as the research progress and application of the reachable domain in various fields of space vehicles are summarised and elaborated. The future research of space vehicles is prospected, thus providing a directional reference for future development and engineering applications of intelligent, safe, reliable and precise flight technology of space vehicles.
