N2 - The cold metal transfer (CMT) technology was used to study the single-bead and single-layer process characteristics of marine high-strength steel wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM). By testing three process parameters of the protection gas different ratios, wire feeding speed (vs) and welding speed (vw) under the single welding bead characteristics, combined with the measurement of welding bead width, height, wetting angle and bead cross-section area under different process conditions, mastered the law of influence above three key process parameters. By the method of mathematical analysis, and full-period cosine function model which could accurately predict the single bead cross-section contour under the protection of 80% Ar+20% CO2 mixed gas was established, which is basically consistent with the actual measurement results. It provided the basis for forming control of multi-layer WAAM.
