Abstract
In order to realize the control of engine rotor vibration by the active elastic support/dry friction damper,a new type of active elastic support/dry friction damper structure and dynamic parameters design method are developed. Then, the damping characteristics of the designed damper are simulated and verified by a test rig simulating a high-pressure rotor system of the engine with two dampers. The results show that the damper designed with integrated configuration can effectively control the rotor vibration, and the maximum vibration reduction ratio can reach 95.5%. To achieve the control objective, the distribution of the pressure between static and moving disks should be related to the proportion of vibration amplitude at the location of the damper. All rotor modes in operation and rotational speed should be considered in the design of the mass and mounting stiffness of the static disk.
