Abstract
The separation and purification of C2H2 from C2H2/CO2 mixture is of great challenging due to their similar physical and chemical properties. In this study, a pillared-layer ultramicroporous coordination polymer with polar pore surface bearing with N/O atoms Co-datz-mipa (Hdatz=3, 5-diamino-1, 2, 4-triazole; H2mipa=5-methyl-isophthalic acid) was used as an efficient adsorbent for C2H2/CO2 separation. Polar N/O atoms can form specific recognition with C2H2. Adsorption isotherms and dynamic breakthrough curves show that Co-datz-mipa can adsorb C2H2 selectively from CO2.
