摘要
Gel-derived bioglass ceramic powders with different compositions were fabricated by sol-gel-self propagating method and formed into discs by cool static press and thermal treatment. Microstructure, mechanical properties and biological behavior of samples were investigated. The experiment results show that (Ca, Mg)3(PO4)2 and MgSiO3 are obtained in the glass matrix after being treated at 1100°C. The size of crystals in 5 S is bigger than in 3 S and 5 S has better mechanical properties, whose bending strength and fracture toughness can be up to 172 MPa and 2.02 MPa·m1/2 respectively. Both of them have no inflammatory and have good touch with bone tissue in vivo. A lot of new immature bone and blood vessel appeared in the interface between 5 S and bone at 3 w. Bone amalgamation occurs at 6 w. There is no obviously interface and a calcium-phosphate transition layer forms between material and bone at 6 w. These results demonstrate that 5 S is an ideal material for biomedical application.
